In the colder months, where a night on the bank can have you out in unforgiving conditions, a bivvy overwrap can be a welcome layer of protection against the elements. As you would imagine an outer shell to you Ascent bivvy will aid heat retention and ensure you stay warm and dry but the Avid Carp Overwrap’s main function is to minimise condensation and safeguard you against being woken up in the middle of the night and finding that half your gear has been saturated by condensation.

Designed to be used in conjunction with the Avid Carp Ascent 1 Man bivvy, the Ascent Overwrap is constructed from the same 10,000mm hydrostatic head material as the bivvy itself. The exterior of the overwrap is almost a complete shell to maximise protection but, unlike other overwraps on the market, it does feature 3 rod straps on either side of the overwrap, providing safe storage for up to 6 rods, even during harsh conditions.

At the front of the overwrap is the dual-zipped door panel which is compatible with the clear window panel from the bivvy itself and alongside letting more light into your bivvy it will give you more visibility of your swim allowing you to keep an eye out for rolling carp. If its really cold you also have the option of creating a letter box opening in the overwrap doorway, thanks to the dual zip.

The standout feature of the Avid Carp Ascent Bivvy is the panoramic mozzie mesh window at the rear of the bivvy, the overwrap utilises this and features a rear section that your are able to roll down to allow the mozzie mesh to aerate your bivvy.

The overwrap weighs in at just 3.7kg and is provided with its own carry bag to aid transportation further.
