Since its inception in 2009, Avid Carp has outperformed its youthful nature, quickly establishing itself as one of the go-to brands for anything from terminal tackle to bivvies. Generally, the company prefer to revamp conventional items, giving them an Avid Carp facelift – the brand new Avid Carp Lok Down range typifies these beliefs.
An unstable bankstick or rod pod can be infuriating, after spending considerable time setting them up so that they’re perfectly aligned the last thing you want is for your first bite to undo all your work. This is the reality for some of the weaker banksticks on the market, the pressure and movement experienced during a run is enough for the cam on some telescopic banksticks to collapse, leaving your rod(s) bouncing all over the place.
This problem is exacerbated when fishing on a man-made peg, either your bankstick or storm pole is invariably too thick to fit through the gap in the platform, or too skinny.
Avid Carp believe they have contested both problems with the creation and introduction of its Lok Down Bankware range.
The Avid Carp Stage Stand works by piercing your chosen wooden platform with a tooth, or screw, located on the base of the Stage Stand, acting as a clamp, banksticks and storm poles can now be firmly anchored in place with the flick of the cam lock. The Stage Stand is much easier to tighten than conventional thumb screws and completely eliminates wobble.
Similarly, to the banksticks and storm poles in the range, the Stage Stand is constructed from high-grade aluminium, resulting in a lightweight but extremely durable structure and is finished in the sleek, hardwearing black finish.
