Simple, trouble-free, powerful and technologically advanced, the Orvis Battenkill Disc Reel comes from a long and historically successful line of Battenkill reels and offers anglers an updated design with significantly more powerful drag.

Boasting a mid-arbor design, the Disc reels offer fly fishing anglers a technically superior sealed-drag based on the Hydros. Underneath that mid arbor is six interacting carbon and stainless drag surfaces. 

Built with 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with an ergonomic Delrin handle and changing from left to right hand retrieve is simple, the reel also provides ported jewel finish. This reel has been battle-tested and comes at a remarkably accessible price and is available in sizes I through IV.
